WebLink Update Tutorial

The following steps outline how to use the WebLink Updater with the Start-X module.

If you are experiencing issues with the module not progressing beyond the initial steps, re-flashing the module may help resolve any stored errors.

To re-flash the module, follow these steps:

1. Connect the module to your computer using the USB cable provided.
2. Open the WebLink application and then select Weblink RS. (Figure A)
3. Select Configure New Module.  (Figure B)
4. Re-enter your vehicle information.  (Figure C)
5. Select Stand-Alone Remote Starter, then OEM Remotes Only. (Figures D & E)
6. On the Select Firmware page, click on See all available firmwares. Select the proper firmware option on the list.  (Figure F & G)
7. On the Quick Configuration page, make sure Lock Three Times is selected. Select Save and go to the Flash Summary.  (Figure H)
8. Select Flash your device. (Figure I)
9. After the module has been flashed, follow the installation steps in your vehicle once more.
10. Once you have completed the installation steps, reprogram the Start-X system.
