Directed Interface Module: Remote Start Not Working, 7 Red Flashes

If you are experiencing 7 red flashes after attempting to remote start your vehicle, follow the steps below to reprogram the module.

1. Cycle the ignition on then off.
2. Press and hold the program button on the side of the module until the light on the module turns solid orange, and then let go. The light will start flashing green and red at this point.
3. Press the unlock button on the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) key fob one time. The light on the module will flash green once and red twice.
4. Press and hold the program button until the light on the module turns solid orange, and then let go.
5. Once these steps are completed, test the system to make sure it is now remote starting the vehicle.
